Police shut down a rave at a disused Carpetright store – Techno

Police shut down an illegal rave at a disused Carpetright warehouse in Kent last weekend, as DJ mag reports.
Officers dispersed hundreds of revellers when they were called to Strood Retail Park at 11.30pm on Saturday 16th November. Police said a 39-year-old man from Ashford was arrested on suspicion of conspiring to commit a public order offence and supplying a psychoactive substance (nitrous oxide).

A police spokesman said: “Kent Police officers attended Strood Retail Park following reports of antisocial behaviour by young people travelling to the location. It was established that a suspected unlicensed music event was being held inside a disused warehouse with a significant number of people in attendance.

“Officers remained at the location to prevent any potential breach of the peace, ensure public safety and identify if any criminal offences had been committed. Inquiries are ongoing.”

During the summer season in Ibiza this year, an Illegal rave took place at a protected woodland area near popular tourist beach Cala Conta, a 15-minute drive from San Antonio.

In July this year, 600 people attended an illegal rave, which was in the Massingham Heath area of Kings Lynn in Norfolk. It took police 20 hours to shut the party down.
